Rehabilitation Services FAQs
Are my rehabilitation services going to be inpatient or outpatient?
Inpatient services are provided to individuals who require hospitalization due to illness, injury, or surgery. Inpatient speech language pathologists, for example, work with patients who have communication and swallowing disorders related to their medical conditions. They collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and help patients recover their communication and swallowing abilities.
Outpatient services are provided to individuals who do not require hospitalization and can receive treatment on an outpatient basis. They provide individualized treatment plans and work with patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes using the best evidence-based practices
