Dr. Louis P. Kusnier II was born and lived in northern, lower Michigan before transitioning to Monroe.
Dr. Kusnier graduated with a bachelor’s of science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and received both his master’s degree and his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He went on to complete his residency program at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette, Michigan. He has worked in the Emergency Room and on the medical-surgical floor as a hospitalist at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital since 2006, where he has served in multiple roles, including Chief of Staff, Chief Medical Officer, and head of the ER Department. He has been seeing patients at the Rural Health Clinic since 2023.
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Kusnier enjoys spending time with his family, along with coaching varsity softball, hunting, hockey, and all sports.
