Dr. Roman Czubatyj grew up in the Metro Detroit area, where he also completed his early education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wayne State University before receiving his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine.
Following medical school, Dr. Czubatyj completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Detroit Medical Center. Recognized for his leadership and clinical excellence, he was selected to serve as Chief Resident for the combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency program. He then pursued specialized fellowship training in Rheumatology through the Detroit Medical Center and Henry Ford Hospital, where he presented research on a variety of rheumatologic topics. Dr. Czubatyj is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Rheumatology.
After completing his fellowship, Dr. Czubatyj joined Arthritis Physicians, working alongside Dr. John Tower, and became a member of the medical staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy.
Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Czubatyj has remained dedicated to community service and professional leadership. Throughout his career, he has volunteered with churches, scouting organizations, social clubs, and residential communities serving older adults and individuals with disabilities. During medical school, he co-founded the Wayne State University chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and served as its inaugural president, reflecting his longstanding commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
